NASA astronaut Kate Rubins and two Russian cosmonauts have safely returned to Earth after a six-month keep aboard the Worldwide Area Station (ISS).

Rubins, Sergey Ryzhikov and Sergey Kud-Sverchkov returned aboard a Soyuz spacecraft, touchdown in Kazakhstan shortly earlier than 1 a.m. ET (11 a.m. Kazakhstan time) on Saturday, April 17. The journey from the house station took round three-and-a-half hours.

Throughout her time aboard the house station, Rubins took half in two spacewalks, voted within the U.S. presidential election, and labored on a variety of experiments.
